Workshop 'AI Policy and Ethics: Responsible Use of AI'

Artificial intelligence (AI) can do a lot. But do you want it to? An AI tool that writes texts may contain errors. An AI-generated mood impression can unintentionally exclude groups of people. And a system that unlocks collections can reproduce sensitive information. How do you ensure that AI is used reliably, fairly, and sustainably? And what does AI mean for creativity, privacy, copyright, or work?

In the workshop ‘AI: Ethics and AI Policy’, you and a colleague will practically work on an AI policy.

During this workshop:
  • Learn how to use AI responsibly
  • Discover ethical dilemmas and translate values into guidelines
  • Develop a future-proof AI policy together with your colleague
Sign up for the workshop on May 28, 2026

Why this workshop?

An AI policy provides direction for the use of AI in your organization. In this workshop, we will work on an approach that centers your organization's vision (on digital) and core values. Because an AI policy that aligns with your vision and core values is more future-proof and widely supported.

Using discussions, exercises, and the AI Policy Step-by-Step Guide, we will work on an AI policy for your organization. You will learn from colleagues in the cultural sector and discover what works in practice. You will go home with a written AI policy for one topic.

The setup

  • Preparatory assignment (approx. 2 hours). To get the most out of the workshop, we ask you to read the course material and gather information from your organization.
  • Workshop (full day, on location). Hands-on work with discussions and exercises. By the end of the day, you will know how to draft an AI policy and have a written text for one topic.
  • Online exchange session (1 hour, online). Four weeks after the workshop, we will reconvene to share experiences, discuss issues, and learn from each other.
