International Jodi Awards at DISH2011
The International Jodi Awards 2011 were given on 8 December 2011 at the International Conference DISH2011 (Digital Stategies for Heritage) in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The deadline for nominations was 21 September 2011.
This year, there was no official winner for the International Jodi Awards. A commendation was given tot the Whitney Museum of American Art.
The Jodi Mattes Trust promotes barrier-free access to cultural collections for disabled people. The Jodi Awards are for museums, galleries, libraries, archives, heritage venues and disability organisations which use digital technology to provide a shared experience for disabled people.
All kinds of projects can be nominated, small and big, low-tech and hi-tech and for small and large audiences. What counts is the value of the project and the quality of engagement with disabled people.
The International Jodi Awards 2011 were given on 8 December 2011 at DISH2011 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. The UK Jodi Awards 2011 were given on 1 December at the National Waterfront Museum in Swansea, Wales.
